Whilst serving at sea John became interested in Complementary and Alternative therapies and began employing these skills in 1994.

Working with Sports related injuries since 1977, he has worked for Watford football club (1984/5), has provided medical cover for the Devonport Field Gun Crew (1995/97/98/99) and has worked for the British Gymnastics Squad and UK Sports Aerobic Team (1999). As well as sporting teams he has also provided therapies for members of the TV show "Gladiators".
A proficient sports therapist, John is an experienced Alternative
practitioner
and is a Reiki MASTER
and teacher. He has carried out training in Angelic Therapies (Integrated Energy Therapy).
John is trained in Body massage, Sports massage and has a Masters Diploma in Clinical Sports Therapy. He is a qualified Aromatherapist and prepares and blends the Coast Clinics own range of natural creams and oils.
In 1998 John was trained to use the Russian Skenar with KOSMED group led by
Dr James Colthurst, and over two years rose to Master practitioner level. He has treated a very wide range of conditions with very good results.
John has trained students in Sports massage to Master level for The Active Associates since 1998 and teaches body massage. He is a former tutor in sports and body massage for adult education at New Milton and Christchurch.
He has a keen interested in Herbalism and use of alternative therapies using energy healing and is also a crystal bowl therapist.
